INTI International University Launch Ten New Programmes

To officially introduce ten new programmes to its extensive list of offerings, INTI International University hosted a grand launch event on 25 March, exemplifying its commitment to innovation in education and its belief that education is the key to empowerment and change.

The event, participated by students, staff, industry partners, and delegates from the Ding Li Group and Jiangsu University of Social Sciences in China, was officiated by YBrs. Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Raduan Che Rose, Chief Executive Officer of Majlis Profesor Negara (MPN). Also gracing the event was Dr Md Fauzi bin Md Ismail, Registrar of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), who presented on future-proofing the workforce.

After the launch, guests explored exhibition booths outside the Tan Sri Abdul Majid Library, where they could learn more about the new programmes and interact with faculty members and industry experts. The booths offered interactive games such as Wheel of Fortune and prizes and provided visitors with information on programme structure, content, benefits, and possible career paths. The new programmes are:

  1. Master of Social Entrepreneurship
  2. Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Digital Media
  3. Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Entrepreneurship and Marketing
  4. Bachelor of Business (Hons) in International Business and Logistics Supply Chain
  5. Management Bachelor of Technology (Hons) Da Science
  6. Bachelor of Technology in Intelligent Process and Product Design
  7. Bachelor of Technology in Intelligent Manufacturing
  8. Bachelor of Technology in Digital Construction
  9. Management Doctor of Education
  10. Master’s in Education Management (ODL) Top of Form

 

In the keynote address, YBrs. Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Raduan Che Rose, Chief Executive Officer of Majlis Profesor Negara (MPN), said, “Education is always the most strategic investment you can make. Countries that have achieved significant development have done so by investing in education. They consistently innovate, establish new companies, and explore novel approaches that benefit their nations.

“Higher education has transformed globally, and one of our imperatives is to embrace new technologies and develop programs that align with the current global market needs. I am proud to witness the bold initiative of INTI International University in introducing 10 new programmes. Congratulations on their advanced and forward-looking approach in implementing these measures,” he added.

Dr Md Fauzi bin Md Ismail, Registrar of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), in his presentation, shared, “Malaysia is in a transition phase where it aims to move away from low-end manufacturing activities to more complex and higher value-added activities, such as integrated circuit design and research and development. This transformation is crucial for achieving high-income status and competing globally.

“There is a need to align education programs with the digital age and the future needs of industries. This includes updating curriculum and offering programs focusing on emerging technologies and skills required by industries.”

Professor Dr Geetha Subramaniam, Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Operations), delivered the opening speech on behalf of INTI International University & Colleges CEO Chong Kok Wai, who emphasised the importance of education in today’s swiftly changing world.

“INTI stands committed to pioneering innovation and a vision for the future. Today marks a significant milestone as we unveil ten new programmes designed to widen our academic horizons and reaffirm our commitment to innovation, relevance, and excellence in Malaysian higher education. These programmes—ranging from Social Entrepreneurship and Digital Media to Data Science and Intelligent Manufacturing—reflect our dedication to setting a new standard in responding to global trends and local needs,” she said.

The event was attended by more than 200 guests, including students, faculty members and industry partners. Attendees could learn more about the new programmes, interact with faculty members and industry experts, and explore the campus facilities.
