After issuing the Offer Letter, we will submit your student visa application to Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) in Malaysia on your behalf. This process will take approximately 1 to 2 months
Step 3
Prepare for your International Study
Step 1: Obtain Student Visa Approval Letter
Upon obtaining your Student Visa Approval Letter issued by Malaysia’s Immigration Office, you are required to pay an advanced tuition fee (equivalent to the 1st semester tuition fee and other miscellaneous fees), as a “Prepaid Fee” to secure your enrolment, before the original Visa Approval Letter is sent to you.
For students who only require a Single Entry Visa, kindly bring the original Visa Approval Letter together with your passport to the nearest Malaysian Embassy/Consulate as you are required to obtain a single entry permit before entering Malaysia. For certain nationalities, the Single-Entry Visa can be obtained through eVisa.
Step 2: Inform INTI of Your Scheduled Arrival
Contact the respective campus at least 5 (five) working days prior to your arrival in Malaysia to arrange for airport pick-up.
Respective campus representative will acknowledge receipt of your airport pick-up request and provide the name and contact details of the International Office officer who will be meeting you at the airport.
Step 3: Bring Relevant Documents
Remember to bring along these documents before arriving:
- Original Passport with validity of at least 12 months
- Original High school certificates and transcripts
- Original copy of Visa Approval Letter and Single Entry Visa
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (for African nationalities)
Step 4: Prepare for Your Arrival in Malaysia
Fill up the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days prior to your scheduled arrival in Malaysia. If you do not belong to any of the MDAC-exempted nationals or categories, it is mandatory for you to submit the MDAC.

After Arrival
1
Step 1: Produce Arrival Card at Immigration
Upon your arrival at the airport, proceed to the Immigration Office Student Waiting Area where an INTI representative will escort you through the Immigration checkout point for visa clearance. Important note: Immigration will not release a student without the presence of an INTI representative.
Prepare to produce your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) together with your passport to the Immigration Officer.
2
Step 2: Check-in to Your Accommodation
If you have booked a room in INTI’s hostel, an INTI officer will help you to check-in to your accommodation.
3
Step 3: Report to International Office
Report to the International Office upon your arrival or the next working day (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm) to complete required forms (including medical check-up), be briefed on relevant information, and open a bank account (upon request). You will be given one (1) week to settle the matters.
4
Step 4: Report to Accommodation Office
Head over to the Accommodation Office to be briefed on hostel’s rules and regulations and an invoice will be generated for you to make payment.
5
Step 5: Take the English Placement Test and Enrol for Subjects or Courses
Sit for the English Placement Test, unless you have been exempted, to determine your course level. After the release of the English Placement Test results, you may proceed to enrol for your subjects or courses with the assistance of INTI’s International Office (Services) staff.
6
Step 6: Submit Your Passport
Submit your original passport to the International Office one (1) week from your arrival date for student pass endorsement. You will be given a certified true copy of your passport and an acknowledgement slip as your temporary identification.
